Ebony Danelle "Tootie" McDonald 35, gained her wings suddenly on July 8, 2020. Born July 22, 1984 in Akron, Ohio to Zebdee McDowell Jr. and the late Yolanda J. {Williams} Wray.
Ebony received her associate degree as a Medical Assistant at National Institute of Technology in the early 2000's. She went on to further this career at Heather Knoll nursing and rehabilitation as a Medical Assistant. Ebony then went on to further her education at Regency Beauty Institute as a cosmetologist. Switching careers, she became a manager at Popeye's for several years. She found her passion as an awesome Chef providing comforting soul food throughout her community with love.
On June 28,1997 at the age of twelve, Ebony gave birth to her only baby girl, Jyazmiune N. McDowell becoming an outstanding mother. November 4, 2000, she was blessed with her first son, Vershawn J. Carter. On December 3, 2001 her second son, Vernon J. Carter made his entrance into the world. Later, she would go on to give birth to sons Sovereignty S. Secession on February 1, 2010, and Rio V. July 26, 2013, she married her husband, Richard V. McDonald Sr., gaining two bonus children: daughter, Shellvon McDonald and son, Richard V. McDonald Jr. Together they worked to raise a beautiful family.
Ebony had a passion to be an inspiring rapper, and her stage name was "Big Eb from the North." She loved reading and poetry. This led her to be a phenomenal writer of poetry. Her real love, though, was cooking. She was known especially for her famous Macaroni and Cheese, which everyone loved. Feeding everyone, including strangers, and espcially during the holidays, was her absolute favorite. Christmas was her favorite holiday of them all. Driven by her late mother's words "Always make the holidays special for your children," she always made sure to live up to those words.
Ebony had a huge heart, and always helped the less fortunate. She was known to speak her mind, being fearless in sharing how she felt. No matter who you were, she never neglected to tell you she loved you. Ebony was always greeting everyone with her infectious smile and a huge hug.
