Eddie Richard

Eddie Richard, 88, passed away on April 21, 2012, after a short illness. He grew up in the Akron area, attending South High School. He served in the US Army during World War II and retired from the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.

Preceded in death by his parents, Najeeb and Mary Richard; brothers, Earl David of Lebanon, David David, Freddie David, and Lou Richards; sisters, Josephine Faris and Helen Paduano.

He leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Miriam; daughter and son-in-law, Lois and David Seese; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Fran Richard; grandsons, Christopher (Jodie) Walker, Jeffrey Richard and Andrew Richard; step grandchildren, David Seese and Kimberly Kanter ; great-granddaughters, Madison and Molly Walker; brother, Dan Richards of Milwaukee; sister, Evelyn Baltz of Nevada.

Calling hours will be Monday, 5-8 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m., with Pastor Phil Anderson officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
