Edgar A. Neal, 58, of Akron, passed away October 5, 2011. Ed was born on February 10, 1953 in Rantoul, Illinois. He graduated from Tallmadge High Scholl and was known as a diligent worker. He retired from Akron Brick and Block after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 348. Ed had many interests including swimming and fishing at the Mogadore Resevoir. He was a history buff and an avid reader. Ed will always be remembered for his warm heart and his great laugh. He had a special smile for everyone and loved to spend time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Neal. He will be deeply missed by his father, Charles Neal; children, Jenny (Jason) Fawk, Abigale (Brian) Cowey, and Edgar Neal; sisters, Debbie (Frank) Porreco and Sherry (Jerry) Greathouse; and grandchildren, Joy and Faith Fawk, Gavin Cowey, and McKenzie Neal. Visitation will be Saturday, October 8 from 11-1 followed by a 1:00 p.m. funeral service with Rev. Virgil Elkins officiating at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd.
