Edison Julius Grizer
Edison Julius Grizer, 91, passed away on February 20, 2007. He was born in Akron on June 3, 1915 to the late August J. and Margarethe Grizer. Edison was a lifelong resident of Ellet and a lifelong member of North Springfield Presbyterian Church. He retired from Reuther Mold Co. and was an avid bowler and golfer. Edison was a member of the Masons of Ohio, the American Bowling Congress, and the Yusef Khan Grotto. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Lois Johnson Grizer; daughter Cynthia and Robert Kauffman, of Howell, MI; son Edison Jon and Rebecca Grizer, of Rochester, NY; grandchildren Michael and Candice Grizer and their daughter Cassandra, of San Antonio, TX, Jeffrey and Kerri Grizer and their children Camryn and Carson, of Cary, NC, Jennifer and Chad Thompson, of Maume, OH, and Jonathan Kauffman, of Howell, MI. Calling hours will be Friday, 4-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. A celebration of a life Saturday, 1 p.m. at the funeral home, Pastor Janet Lowery officiating. Private entombment will take place at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, the American Cancer Society, or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
