Edith M. Knapp, 98, passed away on April 16, 2016 surrounded by family. She was born in Brimfield, OH to Hoy and Dora (Kurtz) Hambrick. Edith was an amazing, strong woman whose life was her family. She put others' needs ahead of her own. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, watching game shows and sports, especially the Cleveland teams. Edith leaves a legacy behind to remember her including sons, Don, Jerry (Nancy), Clem (Rose), and Tom (Vicki); daughters, Dolores (John) Fogt, Marj (Bob) Keith, and Mary (Karen) Knapp; daughter in-law, Dianna Knapp; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Peg (Wayne) Holland; and brother in-law, Gus Knapp.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; longtime companion, Jim Siers; loving son, Bill; 5 sisters and 3 brothers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 3pm Friday April 22 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2643 Waterloo Rd. Mogadore, OH 44260, Fr. Thomas Acker officiating. Friends and family are invited to visit from 1-3pm preceding Mass. Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Church or Suffield Fire Dept. 1265 Waterloo Rd., Mogadore, OH 44260.
