Edith J. Sullivan (Munteanu)
Edith J. Sullivan (Munteanu), 83, passed away on February 4, 2016. In her early years she built AMI juke boxes in Michigan. During her many years working at Goodyear Aerospace and Loral, she built circuit boards for the Goodyear Blimp Akron. Edith enjoyed volunteering at Camp Manatoc (BSA) where she earned the nickname "Outlaw". She was a very active grandmother and great-grandmother, attending all the kids school and sporting events. She was an avid reader and seamstress, she knitted beautiful sweaters for the kids as they went off to nursery school and kindergarten. Edith was preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph Munteanu and John Sullivan; brothers, Gordon and Dean Hoag. She was very much loved and will be missed by her children, Joan (Don) Caldwell, Patti (Norm) Tanner, Sylvia (Dean) Flint, Erika Munteanu and Cornel Munteanu; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Gertrude Farr; numerous nieces and nephews; her best friend, Jean Hickmott; and her beloved cats, Baby and Beabea. Memorial service will be held on Saturday February 13, 2016 at Crossroads Bible Fellowship, 737 George Washington, Blvd. at 1pm. Family will receive friends at 12noon. Pastor Russ Heiser officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crossroads Bible Fellowship.
