Edna M. Hershberger
The Lord took Edna M. Hershberger to be an angel on June 13, 2005. Edna was born October 27, 1923 in Carthage, Tenn. During World War II, she contributed to the war effort by working at the Goodyear Air Dock. She retired from Young's Restaurant and was currently working for One To One Demonstrations. She was a member of the Mogadore Moose since 1977 and was inducted into the College of Regents and earned her red stole. In her spare time, Edna enjoyed bingo, casinos, and spending time with her family and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Walter; parents, James and Maggie Silcox; two brothers and one sister. She is survived by her children, Susan George, Beverly (Dave) Burkett, James (Marsha) Hershberger, George Hershberger, Donald Hershberger, and Terri Graham (Todd St. Clair); sisters, Frances (Jim) Pittman, Lucille Robison, and Betty Furman; sixteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend their thanks to Uncle Charlie and Aunt Ruth Hershberger for their love and devotion to Edna. They would also like to thank Dr. Matt Taylor and Hospice of Summa for all their care and understanding. Family and friends may call TODAY from 4-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Thursday at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Nelson Pamer officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Summa.
