Edna L. Forshey, 76, passed away January 6, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 10, 1933 in Akron, Ohio to Leeland and Sadie Wilkinson. Edna was raised in the North Hill area and attended North High School. She was an inspiration to her family. Preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 56 years, Hoy L. Forshey. Edna is survived by her children, Joyce Baird (Kevin Giles) of Akron, Debbie (Johanes) Triosa of Stow, Chris (Denise) Forshey of Waldorf, MD, and Robin Forshey of Tallmadge; grandchildren, Daniel (Truly) Baird, Angel (Andrew) Henkel, and Maria (John) O'Neil; great-grandchildren, Shaiann and Nikkolai Baird. She also leaves behind her canine companions, Chardonnay and Anna. Calling hours will be held Sunday, January 10, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held Monday, January 11, at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Matthew Wooster officiating. Interment to take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
