Edna "Lori" Salzwimmer

Edna "Lori" Salzwimmer, age 85, of Springfield Township, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 28, 2024. She was born on August 14, 1939 in West Virginia to the late Isaac and Leona Ruckman. 

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She cherished family time and enjoyed many family vacations. She would often host family garage sales that would turn into a family gathering. Lori loved to play the lottery and bingo. She was also a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Army & Navy Garrison 102.

Lori worked at Acme Click before her retirement. 

Lori is survived by her loving husband, James Salzwimmer, of 54 years; children, Chad (Amanda) and Kim (Tim); grandchildren, Gavin, Wade and Raven; siblings, Isaac (Patricia) and Elizabeth Jane; as well as other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Leona Ruckman; as well as her father and mother-in-law, Bob and Helen Mason.

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44305) on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 11am until 1pm. Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation with Pastor Stephen Neumeyer.

Lori will then be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
