Edna C. Luton

Edna C. Luton, 89, of Akron, passed away May 27, 2005. Edna was born January 9, 1916 in Cross Plains, Tennessee to the late Arthur and Fairrie Cook. Edna was very active at both the Maranatha Bible Church and Beth Tikkun Messianic Fellowship. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Jennings Luton and sister, Bonnie Swan. She is survived by her sons, J. Bryan (Mem) Luton, Jr. and L. Grant (Robin) Luton, both of Akron; grandchildren, Joshua, Caleb, Lindsay, Katherine, and Christina; sister, Lillian Roe; and brother, Leonard Cook. Calling hours will be Monday from 4-7 followed by a 7 p.m. service at Maranatha Bible Church, 1424 Killian Rd., Akron (at the corner of Killian and Pickle Rd.) with Rev. Jerry Harpool officiating. Additional services will be held at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Cross Plains, Tennessee followed by burial in Cross Plains, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Maranatha Bible Church or Beth Tikkun Messianic Fellowship.
