Edna Mae Scott, 78. died April 16, 2007. Born in Barberton, Ohio, September 13, 1928. Edna graduated from Barberton High School in 1946 and Kent State University in 1955 with a Masters of Education. She taught at Mason School in Akron and invested her life as devoted wife of 49 years, a loving mother of three and grandmother of nine. Survived by husband, Homer Scott of Uniontown; son, Jeffrey Warren (Debbie) Scott of Roanoke, Virginia; daughters, Karen Scott Boyd of Churchville, Virginia, Norma (Richard) Crawley of Stow, Ohio. She is also survived by brothers, Leonard (Patricia) Blanar of Sunnyvale, California and John (Mary) Blanar, Jr. of Kent, Ohio; and sister, Barbara (Larry) Million of Carlisle, Ohio. It was Edna's wishes to be cremated. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. followed by burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Mason Elementary School, 366 Beaver Street, Akron, Ohio 44306 Attn: School Supply Fund.
