Edna Mae Smith Sanders Stevens left this world a much better place than she found it. On December 5, 2020 at 3:27 a.m. our beautiful little Mother breathed Celestrial Air for the first time. Bishop Edna Mae Stevens "Mother" was born April 14, 1937 in Lovern, West Virginia to Arnold Goins and Dorothy Smith. She attended the public schools of Summers County, West Virginia. After the passing of her grandmother, Ida Smith, Edna came to Ohio and was adopted by her aunt and uncle, Agnes and Gus Sanders. She married her childhood sweetheart, Bishop William R. Stevens on September 15, 1954 and became an Army wife. After her husband's discharge from honorable service they returned to Ohio where they continued their love story until William's passing on December 20, 2011. Mother leaves a legacy of Christian love and service to everyone.
In addition to her biological children Edna leaves behind many extended children as well.
