Edward C. Richards, 64, of Rootstown, passed away August 16, 2007 at Robinson Memorial Hospital. He was born December 26, 1942 in Akron, Ohio to the late Earl & Virgie Richards. Ed served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for the A.C.Y. Railroad and was a member of the Apco Club. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 30 years, Vicki R. (Street) Richards; in-laws, Lee & Dolores Street, Pat & Denny, Dennis & Darlene, Ken & Linda, Brenda & Jim, Vince & Beth; children, Jason (Michelle) Richards, Lorie and Karla; many nieces, nephews and friends; beloved pet, Koby. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. The family would like to extend special thanks to the Oncology Department at Robinson Memorial Hospital.
