Edward Collins, age 76, of Akron, OH, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday May 16, 2024. He was born in Akron on December 22, 1947 to the late Edward M. and Peggy (Paris) Collins. He graduated from Central High School and attained a Bachelor of Engineering from The University of Akron.
He is survived by his son Eddie Collins; daughter Alyson Oser (Gregg) and stepdaughters Mindy Pozzuto (Dominic), Cindy Semilia; grandchildren Nathan, Taylor (Laura), Kasey, Kennedy and Grant; sister-in-law Jeanne Schramm along with treasured nieces, nephews and other family members. He was preceded in death by second wife Sherry L. Collins; and brother Gregory W. Collins.
Ed enjoyed nature, spending time with his family and enjoying the beach in Topsail Island NC. He also enjoyed annual family trips to Cooks Forrest PA, cooking, pickling, and watching his favorite sports teams, the Guardians and Browns.
Ed will be missed by family and his many friends in the area, especially at Granger Lake.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday June 22nd from 1-6 PM at 200 Granger Rd., Medina, OH.
