Edward A. Mcmullen

Edward A. McMullen, 77, currently of Newcomerstown, Ohio but a past resident of the Akron area, passed away September 21, 2017. Edward was born August 15, 1940 to the late Ruthvin and Edith McMullen. Edward retired from Rondy Inc. where he worked for over 30 years. He enjoyed going to flea markets, he loved to travel and go camping in West Virginia with his family.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill (Bev) Blackburn, and Hank (Lois) Lambert; brothers-in-law, Herb Kennedy, Bill Phelps and Ian Howell-Clark.
Edward will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Jo Ann McMullen, whom he celebrated 49 years of marriage with. He is also survived by his children, Sherrie Wheeler and Jim (Tina) McMullen; sisters, Ninnie Kennedy, Edith Howell-Clark and Mildred Ball; brothers, George (Brenda) McMullen and Richard (Marty) McMullen; grandchildren, Nathaniel and Amanda McMullen, Charles, Christopher, Beth and Steven; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Jordan and Blake; and many extended family members and friends.
The family welcomes family and friends for visitation on Monday, September 25, 2017 from 4-7 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44305. Memorial donations may be made in Edward's honor to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation, www.myasthenia.org
