Edward Morrell Ramsey

Edward Morrell Ramsey, age 82 of Akron, Ohio, died on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 11:57 AM at Summa Barberton Hospital.
He was born on August 13, 1933 in Penny, KY, the son of the late Daniel Boone and Dollie Damron Ramsey.
Ed was an honorably discharged US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed golfing, and life in general. He was President of Hark Laboratories Inc. in Barberton.
Survivors include his son-in-law, Jerry D. Ratliff and his wife, Diana Lynn; his siblings, Noble, Randall, Ronnie, Goble, and Peggy, and many nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his wife, the former Bobbie Jean Damron; his daughter, Teresa Ratliff; and his siblings, J. D., Boonie, and Agnes.
Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, on Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Burial will be private on Friday and he will be laid to rest next to his wife and daughter in Hillside Memorial Park, Akron.
