Edward Ernest Rice, "Ed", age 65 of Akron, Ohio, died on January 17, 2023 in Barberton.
He was born on October 9, 1957 in Akron, the son of the late James and Patsy (nee Ferrell) Rice.
Ed was a glazer for many years and a loving father. He loved motorcycles, working on cars and enjoying the weekends.
Survivors include his wife, Charlene (nee Hillegass) Rice; one son, Travis Rice; his grandson, Joseph Durbin; and his companion, Deb.
His brother also survives, James Rice; and his nieces and nephews, Jacqueline Rice, Randy Rice, Dale Hartline, Mike Hartline, Shawn Cundiff and Sarah Wagie.
Other than his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Hill.
There will not be any calling hours or services and all arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron, Ohio.
