Edwin Paul Darrah

Edwin "Ed" Paul Darrah, 90, of Rootstown, Ohio passed away February 12, 2024. Ed was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to many. He was born on July 8, 1933 in Akron, Ohio to late parents Dick Darrah and Marion (Keech) Hess. Ed served in the United States Army. Upon his leave, he began his 40 year career with Goodyear in the data processing division, retiring in 1995. Ed enjoyed the out of doors; fishing, camping and countless hours golfing, particularly at Sunny Hill. He loved hosting family and friends for cookouts, card games and sporting events. Ed was a kind-hearted and well respected gentleman.

Ed is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Arlene, along with his parents and siblings. He will be lovingly missed by his sons, Doug (Kathy), Dean (Ginnie); grandchildren, Nick (Jacquie), Kyle (Jordan) and Kelsey (Indraroop); great grandson, Cameron; numerous nieces and nephews.
