Edyth Ann Meyer, "Sue", age 62 of Mogadore, Ohio died at her home on July 15, 2023.
She was born on October 4, 1960 in Springfield, Missouri, the daughter of the late Edward and Barbara (nee Mitchell) Stanton.
She earned her degree at Baptist Bible College in elementary education. She served as a Christian school teacher and in children's ministries at church for over 40 years, but by far her greatest passion was being Emaw!
Sue lived for her grandchildren. She was the best Emaw in the world. She loved and doted on them.
Survivors include her loving husband, Donald Lee Meyer, "Donny", whom she married on December 18, 1981; her mother-in-law, Barbara (nee Moloney) Meyer; her children, Brian (Audrey) Meyer, Kailley (Joshua) Sells, Bradley (Brandie) Meyer and Karissa (Daniel) Gibson; her grandchildren, Michael, Dakota, Patrick, Savannah, Adelaide, Sarai, Jaxon, Emma, Charlotte, Hazel, Bryce, Harper, Nora, Zoey, and twins on the way, Hayden and Hudson.
Her siblings also survive, Sammy Jack (Marilyn) Whatley, Martha (Doyle) Ponsler and Gregory (Denise) Brown; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that mourn her loss.
Other than her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her brother, Dewey Stanton; two unborn grandchildren; and her father-in-law, Richard Meyer.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Community Baptist Temple, 1435 Kelly Avenue, Akron, Ohio 44306, where Pastor Mark O'Donnell will celebrate Sue's life.
Family and friends may visit at the church on Thursday, July 20, 2023 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Ministries of Community Baptist Temple.
