Eileen B. Soccorsi

Eileen B. Soccorsi, 87, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on June 20, 2012. She was born in Morgantown, WV on September 28, 1924 to the late Kenneth and Leone Fitts. Eileen was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Steven, Dan and Anthony; grandchildren, Autumn Dawn and James David Soccorsi; brother, Kenneth Fitts; sister, Barbara Monte.

Eileen is survived by her daughters, Barbara Adler and Judith Cannon; grandchildren, Jeanine (Christopher) Ballentine, William (Donna) Adler, Keith Adler, Dan Soccorsi, Roger Hubbard, Michael (Paula) Hubbard and Jessica Soccorsi; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Dominic, Alyssa, Brittani, Alec, Aidan, Allen, Sydney, Maegan; brother, Samuel Fitts; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hickory Ridge for the excellent care provided.

Family and friends may call on Sunday, June 24, from 3-5 PM at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will follow at 5 PM with Rev. Fleary Spurlock officiating. Burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
