Eileen Helems

Eileen Helems, 86, of Akron, passed away on December 24, 2018. She was born in Charleston, WV to the late Charles and Blanche Surface. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and son, Michael. She is survived by her children, Thomas (Diane) Pittman, Lisa Helems, Mark Helems (Kimberly), Terri, Anita, and Bobby; grandchildren, Paula, Danina, Thomas, Erica (Chad), Nathan, Brian (Shawna), Amber, Amanda, Nicole; and loved by many great and great-great grandchildren, too many to name.

Family will receive friends on Sunday December 30, 2018 from 5-7pm and funeral service will be held on Monday December 31, 2018 at 11:30am at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Pastor Mark O'Donnell officiating. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
