Elaine E. Jackson

Elaine E. Jackson, 86, passed away on February 9, 2024. She was born on August 29, 1937 the daughter of the late Edward and Rachel Saxe. Elaine was a woman of great faith and was a member of Springfield Church of the Brethren. She read God's word daily in her Bible and lived God's word in her actions. Elaine retired after many years of dedicated service from Summit County Child Support Agency. She went back to work after retirement and worked several years at LPL Financial. Elaine enjoyed the outdoors feeding the birds and squirrels and sitting at the lake feeding the ducks. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching scary movies. Elaine was always on the lookout for the legendary Big Foot and was one of his fans. Her biggest enjoyment was being with family, especially the family trips to Myrtle Beach and looked forward to cookouts and fireworks during her favorite holiday July 4th.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Edward Saxe and Sterling Saxe; and her late ex-husband Robert D. Jackson.

Elaine is survived by her children David (Trish) Welch, Debbie (Karen) Jackson, Kathy (Troy) Jackson, and Lorie (Jerry) Foster; grandchildren Daniel, Emily (Jason), Rhiannon, and Logan (Jake); great-grandchildren Ella and Elliot; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date with a private family graveside service.
