Elaine H. Mcmillen
August 13, 1951 — February 21, 2023
After a brief battle with cancer, Elaine McMillen passed away on February 21, 2023. Elaine had a career in food service. She was a gifted baker and chef. Elaine also enjoyed sewing, crafts, and bird watching.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Mary (Mehalko) Machek; brothers, Daniel and Edward Machek; sisters, Mary Buccigrossi and Paulette Machek; and her beloved dog, Bailey.
Elaine is survived by her sister, Michaeline Buffington; brothers, Joseph (Bonita) Machek and David Machek; sisters-in-law, Janet Machek and Lisa Machek; and many nieces and nephews that she held dear.
A special heartfelt thanks to Elaine's niece, Bray Buffington, Bray's Family, and Summa Hospice for the amazing and loving care they provided to Elaine during her last few days.
Friends and family may visit Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron on Saturday March 11, 2023 from 2pm until 4pm. A memorial service will take place at 4pm officiated by Pastor Jim Davis of Charity Missionary Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society or American Cancer Society.
