Elaine R. Richards
Elaine R. Richards, 93, went home to be with the Lord on April 20, 2012.
During World War II, she worked at Goodyear Aircraft. Elaine wrote poetry, music for the piano, and performed her own compositions for family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David W. Richards Jr.; parents, Wayne and Helen Miller; and brother, Wayne Miller Jr. Elaine is survived by her sons, Richard (Janice) Bain and David W. (Susan) Richards III; grandchildren, Lisa (Mark) Davis, Brian Richards, Cindy (Jesse) Fisher and Michael Bain; 5 great-grandchildren; and brother, Craig Fenn.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Meadow Wind Health Care Center staff for their loving care.
Calling hours will be held Monday, April 23, from 10 am to 12 noon at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with a service to follow with Rev. Fleary Spurlock officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
