On Saturday, February 26, 2005 at 12:31 p.m., Eli J. Wilmoth departed this Earth and went to Heaven. Eli was born January 4, 1922 in West Virginia to the late Levi and Olga Wilmoth. He retired as a Master Sergeant after 20 years of service in the U.S. Army, and later retired after 19 years of service at Diamond Crystal/Akzo Salt. In addition to his parents, Eli was preceded in death by his son, Christian Wilmoth. He leaves behind his loving wife of 47 years, Katharina; daughter, Carol; sons, Rick and Robert; grandsons, Michael, Matthew, Jeffrey, Sean Michael, and Robert; granddaughter, Kaylynn; daughters-in-law, Barb and Debbie. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Eli's family.
