Elisabeth A. Williams, 78, of Akron, passed away May 20, 2008 at Hospice Care Center. She was born July 26, 1929 in Hamburg, Germany coming to America in 1953. Elisabeth retired from Goodyear Aerospace. In her free time, she loved sailing, camping, gardening and the outdoors. She was a great authentic German cook. Elisabeth was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Kark; sister, Luise Stredl; and brother, Emil Kark. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert G. Williams; sons, John (Alice) and Robert L. (Angie); grandchildren, Nancy, John, George, Amy and Abby; 7 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted 12:00 p.m., Thursday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron with Rev. Brian Nutt officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. Thursday until the service begins. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron OH 44333.
