Elizabeth M. Carson, 95, of Akron, passed away April 30, 2005. Elizabeth was a devoted member of the Gospel Mission Baptist Church and an avid bingo player. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph A. Carson. She is survived by her daughter, Garnet Pursley; sons, Ralph, Raymond (Irene), Robert (Ethelene), Richard (Pauline), and George (Shelly); twenty grandchildren; forty-four great-grandchildren; and fourteen great-great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call TODAY from 5-8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 12-1 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
