Elizabeth V. Franke, "Betty White", 98, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 13, 2020. Betty was born in Doylestown, Ohio on March 30, 1922 to parents Steve and Veronica Horvath.
Preceding her in death, husband, Robert White; step-son, Hub White, of North Carolina; 3 brothers, and 3 sisters.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cheryl Ward; step-son Donald (Carolyn) White, of Florida; step-daughter, Shirley (Bill) Anderson, of California; many nieces and nephews.
Betty was a cook for Akron Christian Grade School for many years before working at General Tire. Even in her later years, she still continued to work, helping the elderly, and finally "retired" at age 83. She was also a member of Grace Baptist Church.
A celebration of her life was held privately by her loving family.
