Married for 71 years, she was preceded in death by her husband Wilmer Dean Lafferty, who passed on March 8, 2016. Elizabeth graduated from Kenmore High School on June 8, 1944 and married "my Dean" on June 10, 1944.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband's parents, Harry and Eliza Lafferty; infant son, Michael; her sister, Martha Halter; and daughter-in-law, Marsha Lafferty.
She is survived by her children, Anita Lynn, Daniel (Cheryl Anderson) and Steven Lafferty (partner, Jeanne Swartz), Bill York of Milton, FL; sister-in-law, Miriam Ventress of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren, Jennifer (Darrin) Ellis, Sean (Erica) and Jared Lafferty; great-grandsons, Christopher, Nicholas Ellis, and Jacob Lafferty; plus many nieces and nephews. She worked for Midway Bowling Lanes at the food counter from 1961 to 1987. As a talented homemaker, she was loaded with ideas for arranging rooms, liked to garden and made beautiful flower arrangements. She loved to bake and decorate for her favorite holiday, Christmas. She always had a story to tell about her childhood or the trips she and Dean would take. A special thanks to all who helped to care for her during her illness and especially Summa Hospice for their care during her last weeks.
