Elizabeth "Betty" Mae Park, 93, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loving family on June 30th, 2020. A long-time Akron resident, she was born August 30th, 1926 to late parents Lloyd and Viola Weidaw.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Louis; and brothers, Ralph, Jim, Paul and Clyde. She is survived by her children, Gary (Violet) Park, John (Debbie) Park, Lloyd (Amey) Park, Nancy Williford, and Michael Park; 18 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and her church family at North Springfield Presbyterian Church.
Throughout her life Betty loved camping, traveling, gardening, and spending time at the beach. In her later years she enjoyed attending church services regularly, spartan bingo, and spoiling her grandchildren. She was happiest while spending time with family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who always put family first. Her beautiful smile, warm hugs, and silly sense of humor will be forever missed.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Cleveland Clinic Hospice and Michele Lushbaugh for their excellent care during Betty's final weeks. A special thanks to Debbie Reeder who was not only an incredible caregiver for the last 6 years, but a member of the family.
