Elizabeth Pearl Henson
Elizabeth Pearl Henson, 87, of Akron, passed away with her loved ones by her side on February 3, 2013. She was born in Latrobe, West Virginia on November 26, 1925 to the late Henry and Zilphia Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Henson; and her siblings, Henry Adkins, Homer Adkins, Ray Davis, Ralph Davis, Earthel Hall, Beulah Frye, Mae Lee, and Ruth Roush.
Pearl was devoted to her family and will be deeply missed by her children, David and Lee Williams, Brenda and Gordon Vanderhoof; grandchildren, Shelley and Matt Hertig, Mandy and Scott Tinsley; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Jordon, Amelia; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pearl's family wishes to thank her caregivers Patty Guilliams and Cathy Dutton for their kindness and support as well as Hospice of Summa.
Family and friends may call on Thursday February 7 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ernie Kemppel officiating. Interment at Grandview Memorial Park.
