Ella Marie Goodrich (Ellis), 72, went home to be with the Lord on April 2, 2017. A longtime Akron resident, she was born October 9, 1944 in Spencer, WV. Ella was a mother to many and grandma to even more.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Millicent Goodrich; sisters, Rondal Mae Eaton and Alma Snuffer Legg; nieces, Jill and Brittney Goodrich. Ella is survived by her children, Tracy (Jimmy), Stacy Goodrich and Casey (Sabrina) Ellis; grandchildren, James (Sammie), Matt (Danielle), Ashley, Devin (Kayla), Dylan (Jamie), Destany, Dynesty and Daniel Ellis; great-grandchildren, Eli, Elizabeth, Patience, Kaley, Matthew, McKenzie, Maddolyn, Mya, Haidyn Ella, Karma and Serenity; brothers, Bubba, Rodney and Jimmy Goodrich; sisters, Kay Light and Kathy Ledbetter; and many other family and friends.
Friends are welcome to call on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 4-7pm and Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 10-11am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11am. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park to follow.
