Ellen May Belofi, 69, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on January 14, 2019. Ellen was born in Akron, Ohio on May 11, 1949 to the late Clarence and Esta McDaniel. Over the years, Ellen enjoyed decorating cakes and doing ceramics. She loved to joke around (especially with Pastor Bob). Ellen's pride and joy in life were her grandsons, who she was very proud of.
Ellen will be deeply missed by her children, Lisa (Kevin) Clarke, Denise Dudley, and Timothy (Kathleen) Belofi; grandsons, Joshua Dudley, Jacob Dudley, Kyle Clarke, and Peyton Belofi; sisters, Mary Lowden, and Patty Shanaberger; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her constant companion, her dog, Bug.
In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Lester Belofi; brothers, Charles Hopkins and Fred Hopkins; and son-in-law, Jeffrey Dudley.
Friends and family are welcome to Albrecht Ave Church of God 3357 Albrecht Ave Akron, OH 44312 to visit on January 23, 2019 from 10am to 11am. A funeral service will take place at 11am. Interment to follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
