Ellsworth E. Rhoades

Ellsworth E. "Gov" Rhoades, 79, passed away on April 20, 2012. Ellsworth was born in Vestaburg, PA on May 6, 1932, to the late Lewis and Leota Rhoades. He was a member of Green Valley United Methodist Church as well as the Masons and the Shriners. He retired from Adamson United/Wean United Machinists. Ellsworth enjoyed hunting, fishing, and visiting with friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet; and brother, Dwight. Survivors include daughters, Darlene (Kevin) Halman and Barbara (Richard) Bordonaro; sons, Christopher (Lisa) and Mark (Pollyann); 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brother, Sonny; sisters, Myra and Janet.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, 5-8 pm at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 am. Interment to follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
