Elmer Dean Shaffer

Elmer Dean Shaffer, age 80, of Tallmadge, passed away on Thursday April 18, 2024. He was born on April 2, 1944 to the late General Ford and Elsie Elizabeth (Metheney) Shaffer in Chloe, West Virginia. Elmer enjoyed hanging out with friends and family in West Virginia and enjoyed his visits to his trailer there. He retired from Goodyear after 45 years of service. He lived a full and happy life.
He is survived by daughter Melissa Shaffer, son Scott, daughter Paula Boggs; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
He will be buried in West Virginia.
A Celebration of Life Reception will be held at Goodyear Metropolitan Park on Newton Street in The Lodge from 4-7 PM on Wednesday May 15th and all are invited to attend.
