Elmira Jones, 84, of Akron, passed away on June 18, 2012. She was born in Panama on January 9, 1928. Elmira retired from Summa Hospital after over 35 years as a nurse's aide.
In her free time, she enjoyed Bingo and gardening. She was a beautiful person with a big heart and will be missed by all who knew her. Elmira is survived by her children, Tanya Benson, Ramon Jones, and John Phillip Jones (Jaynee); grandchildren, Tara, Vincent Jr., Nichole, Johnny, Brittany, Adrian, Nike, and Rico; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
No services are planned at this time. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Summit County Childrens Services, 264 S. Arlington St., Akron 44306.
