Elton Richard Stott

Elton Richard Stott, "Noupe", age 73 of Akron, Ohio, died on September 20, 2022 at Western Reserve Hospital.

He was born on February 6, 1949 in Akron, the son of the late James and Dorothy (nee Wodtly) Stott.

Elton was an honorably discharged US Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was a brick layer and also a respiratory therapist at Western Reserve Hospital, formerly Cuyahoga Falls Hospital. He enjoyed traveling, fishing and enjoyed his cockatoo, Casey. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, the former Marilyn Fowler, whom he married on January 12, 1996; his children, Brian Stott, Jillian Stott-Wilson, Aaron (Tesia) Stott, Alescia (Jeff) Maxwell and Stephanie Beal; his grandchildren, Ambur (Don), Ashley (Harley), Amanda (Alex), Draven, Dakota, Jacob (Amber), Taylor, Christian and Zackary; and many great-grandchildren.

His sister also survives, Sandy Dyer.

Other than his parents, Elton was preceded in death by sons, Eric and Shane Stott; and his brother, William Sidney Stott.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Bailey Road Christian Church, 3200 West Bailey Road, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221, where Pastor Tim Brown will celebrate Elton's life.

All of the services have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron, Ohio.
