Elvina DeVenture, 78, passed away October 25, 2006 at her residence. She was born in Akron, Ohio to the late Lafayette & Mary (Casto) Curry. Elvina was retired from Sun Plastics after 28 years of service. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. "Mom will be missed by her family and many friends." In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Elvina is survived by her sons, Gary of Akron, Terry of Akron and Tony (Lisa) of Manchester; daughters, Karen (Bill) Byrd of Akron, Bobbi Peters of Las Vegas and Nikki Schoenbaechler (Tony Medlock) of Tallmadge; grandchildren, Shane, Jody, Tracy, Scott, Cory, Cody, Stacy, Jenny, Matthew and Michael; 7 great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Monday from 5 - 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 12 - 1 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. with funeral services beginning Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Fr.
