Emanuel V. "Mannie" Ecker VI, age 58 of Akron passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021. He was born in Akron on December 7, 1962.
Mannie was preceded in death by his father Emanuel V. Ecker V, and his mother Judy A. Angel.
Left to carry on Mannie's legacy are his children Emanuel V. Ecker VII, Shawna (Steve) Svab and Rachel Ecker; grandson Ethan V. Ecker; longtime girlfriend Marguerite Copen; mom Marianne; step-mother Jane Ecker; sisters Cindy Gwin, Julie Carr and Emily Elicker and their families.
Mannie was well-known for his mechanical talents, and greatly enjoyed spending time in the garage and at the race tracks with his friends. He passed down his love of cooking to his three children, as well as many life lessons and words of wisdom.
