Emil Skorich

Emil Andrew Skorich who went by Andy to a lot of his friends passed away April 5th 2023 after a short illness with his family by his side. Emil was born on March 11th 1931 in Akron Ohio to the late George & Mary Skorich. Emil joined the Army in 1950, & continued into the Korean War till 1953.
Emil met the love of his life and married Anna Gray in 1966 and they continued to live in the Ohio area. Emil was a furniture mover for many years till his retirement in 1988. Emil was an avid fisherman always waiting to catch that big one no matter what and always enjoyed going fishing with his fishing buddy his son Glen. He was a fun, loving,& such a caring husband, father, grandfather who enjoyed playing and taken his grandkids & great grandkids to lots of fun places. He will be truly missed by everyone who knew him.

He leaves behind his wife Anna; his daughter Mary & Robert Owens; Sons Glen & Amanda Ervin; John & Carol Wayne; grand children Kimberley, Bobby Owens , Shauna Starcher, Denise and many others. His pride and joy his great grandkids, Kailianna & Zai'Aire, Vanessa, Glen Jr., Jensen & many others.

We would like thank the Community Hospice Truman House for such a phenomenal job on the Love, Kindness & Care of our father.

Visitation will be held on Monday April 10th 2023 from 11 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held at 1:00pm with Deacon Robin Adair officiating.
Interment will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
