Emma J. Payne-Blackmon, age 71 of Akron passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022 at her home. She was born in Hazard, KY on June 7, 1951 to the late Albert and Thelma {Baker} Payne.
In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her siblings Marcus Payne, Gilda Payne and Margo Payne-Carey.
Emma will always be loved by her nieces and nephews Monica, Michael, Marlow, Makeda, Maurice, Mia, all of Ohio, and Monique and Maria of California; all of her great-nieces and great-nephews.
Emma was a minister at Second Baptist Church for over 15 years.
All are welcome to visit at Second Baptist Church, 690 S. Main St. Akron, OH 44311 on Saturday, July 9, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Roderick C.
