Emma Gladys White

Emma Gladys White, 87, of Akron, formerly of Twinsburg, passed away on July 30, 2023. She was born in Rogersville, AL on June 6, 1936, one of 14 children born to the late Luther and Estella {Nance} Koger.

In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her husband J.C. White, and sons William Thomas Koger, William "Curtis" White and L.C. White.

Emma is survived by her loving children Johnny White, Pearl White, Emma White, Samuel White and James White; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces & nephews.

Emma's faith held true throughout her life, and, other than her family, her relationship with God is what she leaned on to get her through the loss of her husband, three of her boys, and daily life.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Monday, August 7, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until the service begins at 9:30 a.m. Interment to immediately follow at Evergreen Memorial Park, where Emma will be laid to rest near J.C.
