Emma Mae Yost, 17, of Akron, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 14, 2022. She was born on July 5, 2004 in East Liverpool, Ohio.
Emma was a student at Ellet High School, where she enjoyed tennis, softball, soccer, cross country, NJROTC, and served as a Student Ambassador. She was accepted to attend the University of Akron. She had also enlisted in the U.S. Army, following a strong family tradition of military service.
Emma is survived by her loving parents, Casey and Shawn Markko; grandparents, Karen Madden and Richard Markko; her brother, Adam; and sisters, Casey Jo and Karen; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members. Her smile and love will be missed.
A celebration of Emma's life will take place on Sunday May 1st from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at The Church on the Boulevard, 754 Kenmore Blvd., Akron, OH 44314.
