Erica L. Portis

Erica L. Portis, MSN, RN, CRNA , age 43 passed away on July 4, 2018. Erica was born January 10, 1975 and was a lifelong resident of Akron, Ohio.

Erica earned her BSN from the University of Akron, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She continued her education earning her MSN in Nurse Anesthesia from Case Western Reserve University, and certification from the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where she was employed.

Erica was a hardworking, loving wife, and mother of three beautiful children. She had a true love for life, family, and friends, and she touched the hearts of everyone she knew and loved.

Erica is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Michael Portis Sr.. Children: Jayshawn R. Portis, Kierdice T. Brown-Portis, and Michael L. Portis, Jr:. Parents: Pervis and Starlet Alford:, Siblings, Shawn Alford, Michael (Lauren) Alford, Niquia Alford:: Grandmother, Mildred West, Great grandmother: Lily Wilson: Mother in Law, Mamie Portis: Special friends, Michelle Moss, Saryna Dent, and the entire anesthesia family at the Cleveland Clinic, and a host of other family members and friends.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday July 14, 2018 at 1pm at Newcomer 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44305. Calling hours will take place from 11am until the time of service.
