Erman Stapleton, 74, of Akron, passed away August 19, 2005. Erman served in the U.S. Air Force and later retired from General Tire after 20 years of service. He was a lifelong URW member. After retiring, Erman spent over 20 years buying and selling antiques at the Hartville Flea Market. He was preceded in death by his parents, Christopher Columbus and Leontine Stapleton; and sisters, Reable King and Evelene Bartley. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Stapleton of Akron; son, Vance Stapleton of Akron; sister, Dolores Puckett of Tallmadge; brother, Hubert Lee (Roberta) Stapleton of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Ambre R., Vance Jerrod, and Lindsay Marie Stapleton; many nieces, nephews, and friends. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 12 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., with calling hours from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
