Ernest R. Curry Jr., "Ernie", age 64 of Akron, Ohio, died on July 3, 2023.
He was born on April 1, 1959, the son of Ruth (nee Day) Curry of Akron, and the late Ernest R. Curry Sr.
Ernie is survived by his loving wife, the former Mary Jones, whom he married on October 24, 2017; his two children, Chrystaline Curry and Joshua Curry; and many other relatives and friends.
Ernie was a man of God and he shined like the brightest star. He had strength like steel even when his body was failing. He always believed God for all things. I know that he wouldn't want sadness to surround us. I believe that he is in Heaven helping God who has a greater purpose for all of us. John 3:6 says, 'That which is born of flesh is flesh and that which is born of spirit is spirit'.
He was a loving husband and father. Ecclesiastes 3 tells us to everything there is a season. Ernie lived every day grateful and thankful for God's gift of life.
Per his wishes, there will not be any calling hours or services and all arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron.
