Ernest R. Gay, Sr.
Ernest R. Gay, Sr., 77, passed away October 12, 2005. Ernest proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1946-1947. He retired from BF Goodrich after over 30 years of service. In his free time, Ernest loved working on automobiles. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie Gay; daughter, Jeannie McCall; stepson, Billy Keith; grandson, Paul Nash; and daughter-in-law, Donna Gay. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Gay; daughter, Janet (Bud) Nash; sons, Ernest E. Gay and Ernest R. (Jean) Gay, Jr.; sister, Mary (Wade) Anderson; brothers, Bernice, Jewel, James (Evelyn), Joe, and Weldon Gay; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Monday, October 17 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 18 at 12:00 p.m. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
