Ernest H. Lamtman

Ernest H. Lamtman, 68, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on April 23, 2019. He was born in Akron on August 10, 1950. Ernie retired as a long distance truck driver for Dis-Tech. He had many interests, including riding his Harley, mowing the grass, planting, and fishing. He loved to travel and had fond memories of a special trip to Punta Cana. His greatest joy was playing with the grandkids and his dogs, Molly and Ollie. Ernie was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Lamtman and Bernice Carroll. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 44 years, Kathy; children, Angel (Eric) Goff, Sherry (Tracy) Woods, Ronnie Derita Jr., and Rene (Perry) Rogers; sisters, Lisa Finley and Brenda Carroll; brothers, Timothy (Laura) Lamtman, Michael (Pam) Lamtman, Mark Lamtman, and Byron Carroll; stepmother, Liz Lamtman; grandchildren, Byron, Patty, Mackenzie, Dalton, Nadia, Zack, Xavier, and Destiny; and great-granddaughter, Makinley. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 1-3 followed by a 3 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
