Ernestine M. Sigman

Ernestine M. Sigman, 92 years old, went to be with her heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. She was born in Knapp, WV to Arthur and Carrie (Gerwig) Nutter on January 19, 1930. After high school she moved to Akron, raised her family and worked for O'Neil's, and then the Firestone Bank, later called Bank One, where she retired in 1987. After retiring, Mom and Dad started traveling. Their favorite place was going to Wickenburg Arizona where they spent 4 months in the winter with her sister Erma and brother in law Glen. She loved her family more than anything, and it showed with her generous heart. Ernestine loved people and she loved doing anything she could, to help. Her door was always open. She loved to play games, especially having a game night. She also loved making different homemade soups in the winter, and making enough for multiple houses.
Preceded in death by her parents, the love of her life Charles, baby daughter Deborah Lynn, son David, daughter in law Mindy and her siblings. She is survived by children Karen, Bruce (Marla) and Lisa. Grandchildren, Christopher (Beth) Sigman, Amanda (Bud) Klein, Jonathon (Brittany) Sigman, Shawn Jeffery, Kimberly Jeffery, David Jeffery, Chad (Julie) Wise, Lauren (Justin) LaFever, great granddaughter's Rozlyn Wise, Ava Sigman, Karis Busto and great grandson's Benji Klein, Austin Breitkreutz, Nathan Lane, Vance Koffel and Hayden Busto, and sisters in law Onidee Nutter and Barbara Sigman and many nieces nephews cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday (March 19, 2022) from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron) where services will be held at 12:00PM with Rev. Gary Chaplin officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The Chapel, The Haven of Rest or the charity of your choice.
Interment will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park.
