Esmond "Carl" Mace, Jr., age 81, of Mogadore, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2024 at Akron General Hospital. He was born on April 7, 1943 to the late Esmond, Sr. and Dorothy Mace in Spencer, WV.
Carl worked as an aerological trouble shooter for US Brick and Block before his retirement.
On April 16, 1980, Carl married Tina (nee Watts). Carl and Tina lived in Akron, Ohio, for most of their life together.
He was a member of the AMX Club for many years. Carl loved fly fishing and fast cars. Most of all, Carl loved his family and the time he got to spend with them. He will be loved and remembered forever.
Carl is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Tina Mace; children, Fred (Billie) Mace, Jacqueline (Frank) Mitchley, Patricia (Carl) Rutledge and Tolly (Robert) Roach; grandchildren, Jenifer, Amanda, Taylor and Nicole; great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Avalee; siblings, George Mace, Charles (Nora) Cox, Patricia (Billy White) Carpenter and Paul Cox.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by grandson, Tyler Fuller.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Carl's Life is planned for Sunday, August 18, 2024 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm at Portage Lakes Eagles (5899 Manchester Rd. New Franklin, OH 44319).
